The Carrie Workman Photography Studio Barn is located in Cleveland, Tennessee less than 2 miles from Interstate 75 (exit 25 or 27).

Once you’re session is booked, you’ll receive a text or email with more info and directions to our studio. Feel free to let me know which backdrop you’d prefer and what color you’re planning to wear.
Payment
Cash, check, PayPal or Venmo are all accepted. No final files are emailed until payment is sent. Usually you’ll be invoiced after your session.
As you can see in this photo, the studio is open to the elements. Most headshot sessions take less than 10 minutes from drive in to pull away. You’ll arrive ready-to-shoot and usually the most flattering position requires that you kneel. Of course, we have chairs and benches, too, should an old football injury hinder you from getting down low. :)
The Weather and Natural Light
We shoot in the winter as long as it’s above freezing. And in the summer— 85 or below is ideal. Of course, I’ve shot plenty of headshots out of that range, too, bc sometimes there’s a deadline and I’m happy to oblige.
Dark rainy days aren’t best but drizzle is workable if you’d prefer not to reschedule. Hair often does not cooperate when it’s raining so if you’d rather wait for a different day— no problem! My only goal is for you to have a great headshot. Please let me know a couple of hours in advance should you need to change your session time. I’m happy to be flexible with you without penalty.
Retouching is Included but Lemme Know
I’ve been doing professional retouch for close to 20 years. With that said, please let me know whether you want full retouch, minimal, or somewhere in the middle. If you love the mole on the tip of your nose, ask me to keep it! The only thing I’d prefer not to retouch is hair color because it tends to not look as natural. I’m more than happy to slenderize, minimize, add a few lashes, soften wrinkles, smooth a crease in your shirt or forehead, and whiten your teeth (to name a few of my superpowers!!). You’re paying me to choose your BEST image, edit that image, and deliver to you a final headshot that is sure to turn heads and represent you WELL! You will be able to approve your final image(s) before I send them to you without the watermark — you know— in case you just miss that mole!
